in Music Lessons.
We value students growing their ability to hear & retain music in their head. Notation is optional however at default, our pathway to reading is treated like language. Singing is integrated into all instruments and students learn how to hear the music in their head as they read. We avoid single letter decoding.
We prioritize building a healthy relationship with music over performance. Students choose their own songs and learning notation is optional.
Our lessons are designed to be memorable and train the musical ear through a variety of unique games and gross/fine motor activities.
Rather than talking at the student, our teachers guide with questions and allow time and space for students to discover the answer themselves.
Our home-studio teachers offer clean, Montessori -inspired spaces. Our teachers that come to you bring kits with everything they need. All teachers are specially trained to teach in the style of Natural Music.
